Pre-wedding photos with K-Wedding at PIUM Studio — August 2026

Overall the experience was beyond our expectations, from the initial consultation, to translation, to completion.

Consultation

Jay was very friendly and communicative. He even answered my questions during his non-working hours. Even though I was initially worried about using a new service I found online through Instagram, his professionalism eased my concerns. Going into the photoshoot day, we knew exactly what to bring, where to meet, and what the day would entail at a high level.
When we met with Jay, he greeted us warmly with coffee! As a foreigner who does not speak fluent Korean, this whole process would've been logistically challenging had it not been for the translation services offered by K-Wedding.

Day Of — Makeup / Hair / Clothing

Great selection of dresses and suits at the studio. We decided to pay extra for 2 special dresses and 1 extra suit change. I also paid extra for 2 additional hairstyles. I didn't have any ideas of what hair and makeup I wanted, so I decided to trust in their recommendation and was satisfied with the result.

Note to future bride/grooms: bring photo inspirations of your desired makeup, hair, dress looks! Of course, you have to work with the studio to see what they are actually capable of / have in stock, but it will expedite the process and make sure you look the way you want to at the end of the day.

Day Of — Photography Session

PIUM Studio was amazing. We had our photographer, a posing assistant, someone making sure our hair and outfits looked good, and Jay with us the whole way. The photographer had amazing attention to detail and there were so many beautiful and interesting backdrops to pose in front of. Luckily, our photographer could speak a bit of English too! This experience was way more fun than we anticipated.
Jay also kindly prepared lunch for us on this busy day. I think it was also helpful for my husband to be able to chat with Jay and his colleague Dong Ju while I was prepping my hair and taking solo shoots.

2 Weeks Later — Photo Selection

Jay was kind enough to join us for the photo selection process (for the physical album), which took about 2.5 hours (we are grateful he did, as translation was very necessary). PIUM Studio was very efficient and explained everything clearly. We paid extra for an additional 2 photos in the album (~$50). We decided to forfeit the printed framed photo because the free frame was not our taste and the cleaner white frame would have been an extra $300! On top of that, we were worried that it would be damaged when shipped to the US and that shipping would be way too expensive. It was a shame that we will not receive the framed photo, but the studio gave us ~1,000 beautiful raw photos that we can print ourselves any time!

Note to future bride/grooms: K-Wedding was not able to help us coordinate shipping of the physical album to the US, which will be ready for pick-up 3 months later. Luckily, we have a friend in Korea who can coordinate shipment for us. If you do not have someone in Korea who can help coordinate, just note that coordinating shipping yourself may be tricky, so make sure to discuss with K-Wedding your options. It would be great if K-Wedding offers shipping coordination in the future as an add-on.

Overall, it was an incredible value for the price we paid considering the fact that we would not have been able to have access to PIUM Studio as non-Korean speakers and all the communication that they facilitated throughout the entire process.
We highly recommend K-Wedding!!
