When Should You Book Your Korean Pre-Wedding Photography?
The answer depends on several things, including the season you're visiting, how specific you are about your studio and shooting date, and a lot of other factors. When you book a Korea pre wedding photography package, you are actually booking what Koreans call 스드메 (Sudume).

Korean couples often start planning their pre wedding photoshoot around 5–6 months in advance. For international couples booking with K-Wedding, 2–3 months ahead can be a good starting point, especially when your dates are flexible. However, if you're traveling during Korea's peak wedding seasons or have a specific studio in mind, booking earlier gives you more options. Here is a simple guide to help you plan.

How Early Should You Book?

For many international couples, 2–3 months before the photoshoot is a good time to start checking availability with K-Wedding. This gives you enough time to look through different studios, compare concepts, choose your preferred shooting date, and prepare for your trip. However, your ideal booking window can change depending on the season. If you're visiting Korea during a busy period, we recommend starting earlier.

Korea's Pre-Wedding Photography Seasons
Availability can vary throughout the year, so your travel month is one of the most important things to consider.

MAY-JUNE

May to June is the peak season.
Late spring to early summer is one of Korea's busiest periods for weddings and pre wedding photography. Popular studios and shooting dates can fill up quickly, particularly if you have a specific concept or studio in mind.
Planning to shoot in May or June? Consider booking around 4–6 months ahead with K-Wedding, especially if you want a particular studio or a Friday or Saturday shoot.

SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER
Fall is another major peak period. The weather is generally pleasant, and autumn scenery makes this season especially popular for outdoor and location-based photoshoots. September through November can therefore become busy, particularly for popular studios and desirable dates.
Planning a fall photoshoot? Starting your search 4–6 months ahead can give you more flexibility.

JANUARY-APRIL
The beginning of the year can offer more flexibility compared with the major peak seasons. If you're planning your photoshoot between January and April, you may have an easier time finding available dates. For international couples with flexible schedules, 2–3 months ahead can be a comfortable starting point.

JULY-AUGUST
July and August are generally quieter months for pre wedding studio bookings. This can be helpful if you're flexible about your shooting date or don't have your heart set on one particular studio. However, keep in mind that summer in Korea can be hot and humid, which is particularly relevant if you're planning an outdoor photoshoot. If you're comfortable with the summer weather, this period can offer more flexibility when planning your shoot.

DECEMBER
December may seem like an obvious off-season choice, but availability can become tighter than expected. The holiday period can bring additional demand, so if you're planning a winter photoshoot, it's still a good idea to book ahead rather than waiting until the last minute.

Does the Day of the Week Matter?
If your schedule is flexible, the day of your photoshoot can also affect how many options you have. In general, studios availability with K-Wedding tends to be busiest around Friday, which is typically the most requested, while Tuesday can be one of the easier days to find availability. Thursday and Saturday can also be busy, and Sunday is a little bit more flexible. So if you have flexibility in your travel schedule, consider looking at weekday photoshoots as well. You may have more studio options to choose from.

Coming to Korea From Overseas?
There is one more thing international couples should consider when choosing their photoshoot date.If you're flying to Korea specifically for your pre wedding photoshoot, K-Wedding recommends arriving 2–3 days before the scheduled shoot as international travel doesn't always go exactly according to plan. A little extra time can give you a buffer in case of , flight delays, flight cancellations, luggage issues, travel fatigue, unexpected changes to your itinerary. Rather than scheduling your photoshoot immediately after landing, giving yourself a couple of days can make the experience much more relaxed. After all, your photoshoot day should be about enjoying the experience, not worrying about whether your flight will arrive on time.

Planning Your Korean Pre-Wedding Photoshoot?
Choosing the right studio is only one part of the process. Your travel dates, season, shooting day, studio concept, all work together to create your photoshoot experience. If you're not sure when to book or which studios may work with your travel schedule, K-Wedding can help you check your options and plan your Korean pre-wedding photoshoot.
